“Music is not what I do, it is who I am…” – Kutcha Edwards
Mutti Mutti, Yorta Yorta, Nari Nari Songman Kutcha Edwards has been prolifically combining songwriting and activism since the 90s. As one of Australia’s most respected Indigenous singer/songwriters, his music and community work offer heartfelt truth and belonging. He will play with his full band.
Supporting Kutcha on the night is Peninsula-based band Jalgany.
Jalgany, fronted by Kirrae-wurrung/Bundjalung artist Nola Lauch, explores identity, resilience, and connection to Country with emotional and rhythmic depth.

Overview:
This session deepens understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Led by Jillian West and Alexandra Prouse, it fosters respectful engagement with First Nations communities.
Facilitators:
Jillian West, a respected cultural educator, and her niece Alexandra Prouse offer 20+ years of combined experience in cultural learning and advocacy.

• Respectful communication and practice
• Addressing stereotypes
• Building inclusive music environments
