November and December Line ups

Music on the Hill, Friday 4 November, Red Hill Pavilion, doors open 7.00pm.

All Our Exes Live in Texas, changoTRee

Sydney-based indie-folk four piece All Our Exes Live in Texas will include MOTH on their ‘The Devil’s Part’ single release national tour on Friday 4 November.

All Our Exes Live in Texas have had an impressive career to date. They’ve toured with The Backstreet Boys (USA), Passenger (UK), Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats (USA) and Tiny Ruins (NZ), not to mention Australian icons Megan Washington, Kate Miller-Heidke and Mama Kin.

AOELIT is a fantasy draft of Sydney’s finest singer-songwriters – Elana Stone, Katie Wighton, Hannah Crofts and Georgia Mooney – here combining in four-part, indie-folk harmony heaven. On mandolin, ukulele, accordion and guitar, the Exes are a powerhouse of charm and songwriting prowess. Fair warning: this foursome is the most badass female folk band around.

They’re confirmed as the national support for Boy & Bear, but most importantly they are doing what they do best: lighting up the stage and tantalising your earholes with songs, tales and laughter. “Catch them before they’re famous and only perform for royalty and astronauts” – The Brag

They will be supported at MOTH by local singer songwriter duo changoTRee.

Doors open 7.00pm. Tasty platters, local wines and beer available.

Saturday 19 November, Main Ridge Estate, doors open 6.30pm.

MOTH Acoustic Club The Mae Trio at Main Ridge Estate

Award-winning Melbourne three-piece The MAE Trio will take a break from international touring and play the third MOTH Acoustic Club show at Main Ridge Estate in Red Hill. Humbly authentic, dynamic and striking, the trio write powerful original songs, accompanying them on cello, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and ukulele and stunning three part harmonies. Their disarming on-stage presence and originality makes for a spellbinding and refreshing live experience.

Doors open 6.30pm for a 7.30pm prompt start. Main Ridge Estate wines available. Complimentary supper snacks at interval.

THE MAE TRIO – ‘Well Enough Alone’

Music on the Hill, Friday 2 December, Red Hill Pavilion, doors open 7.00pm.

Tresses featuring Ella Hooper, Melody Pool and Gena Rose Bruce

Three young singer songwriters: Ella Hooper, Melody Pool and Gena Rose BruceA meeting that bloomed into deep friendship and now presents itself as a unique musical offering.

From Patti Smith and Karen Dalton to Lykke Li and Lana Del Ray, the smoky, strident, dreamy and esoteric cast a magical circle over these three when they collaborate and explore the feminine mystique through music.

It’s witchy, it’s strong, it’s a celebration of a shared passion between these three, who are incredibly excited to share it with you on a dimly lit, sage scented stage (or carpet).

The trio may also perform the odd, inappropriate Christmas cover.

Doors open 7.00pm. Tasty platters, local wines and beer available.

Tickets available here.
